Yoga Basics
New to yoga? Want to brush up on the fundamentals? This beginner
level class is a great place to start. The pacing is relaxed and you'll
get simple and easy to follow instructions from your teacher. Offered
in a friendly and supportive environment. No prior experience needed.
Hatha Flow
Hatha yoga is the most widely practiced form of yoga. It is the
branch of yoga which concentrates on physical and mental health well-being.
Hatha yoga uses postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama),
and meditation (dyana) with the goal of bringing about a sound, healthy
body and a clear, peaceful mind. There are nearly 200 hatha yoga postures,
with hundreds of variations, which work to make the spine supple and
to promote circulation to all systems in the body. Hatha yoga postures
also stretch and align the body thereby promoting balance and flexibility.
Prenatal Yoga
Discover the many benefits of prenatal yoga for mothers during
pregnancy with special attention to your physical comfort and mental
well being. A safe and gentle approach for women in all trimesters
of pregnancy. This class focuses on body alignment, basic breathing
techniques, posture and form. This class promotes concentration, flexibility,
strength and endurance while quieting the mind and preparing for labor
and birth. Props are often used and are provided by our studio (blankets,
mats, blocks and pillows) and poses are modified for the comfort of
women throughout their pregnancy.
Yoga + Strength
Get buff in a class that fuses
strength training and core abdominal work with traditional yoga postures.
Focus on a different muscle group each week to build the strength
and stamina necessary for challenging yoga postures. This yoga bootcamp
style class will also help you build endurance as we focus on cardio,
flexibility, and weight training.
Family Practice
A yoga class where the whole family is welcome! A great Hatha class
that gives adults a child-friendly atmosphere to practice, where little
ones will receive an introduction to yoga and school age kids can
grab a mat and try out a few poses or participate in the whole class.
This will be a dynamic and lively class and will vary from week to
week depending on age of participants and may include partner poses.
Bring a blanket for babies, quiet toys for younger kids, and your
sense of fun and adventure.
Yoga Fusion
Yoga Fusion is an energetic class that blends Hatha, Vinyasa
and Forrest yoga techniques. There is an emphasis on breath work and core strengthening.
Class is suitable for strong beginners to intermediate students.
Hatha/Vinyasa 1-2
Dynamic and flowing class suitable for beginners as well as more advanced students. There is no set sequence to this class. Hatha postures are linked together with an emphasis on breath and body awareness and movement. The pace is more challenging and flow-based.
Mom/Dad & Baby
(Infant - 4 years) This class is a restorative yet strengthening yoga class
for the new mom, baby and toddler up to 4 years of age. This class is for the
mom though we can engage the children in poses. For the mom that brings older
children, please bring toys and playthings for your toddler. For the new mom
with babies, please bring a blanket and toys if needed. We do a combination of
hatha yoga and vinyasa yoga in this class. The focus is on muscle strength with
relaxation breaks, having fun with music, yoga and our babies and young children.
The yoga poses target the abdominals, hips, legs, back muscles and pelvic floor.
This class offers moms an opportunity to integrate yoga and movement with their
child as well as meet other new moms in class.
Yoga Fusion Flow
Yoga Fusion Flow combines traditional hatha, vinyasa flow and forrest yoga
methods for a dynamic class that stretches the body and calms the mind
